We are delighted for and are celebrating with our apprentices Tom Berghaus, Andreas Erhart, Julian Uhling and Elias Volkery, who have successfully passed their final exams to become journeymen carpenters!
We are also happy to share the four apprentices' final projects here. Tom built an extendible couch and games table made of solid oak with a leather-covered blind panel for the playing surface. Andreas made a desk for his son out of solid stained ash. The hanging body sits in a rail and can be exchanged. Julian opted for a hallway piece made of grey-lacquered solid ash, which is well-balanced in terms of form and colour whilst also being comfortable to sit on. And Elias made himself a two-tone, tilted desk made of solid oak with a framed, inset linoleum tabletop.
It goes without saying that each of these pieces were built following the journeymen’s own designs.
Congratulations to you all on this great achievement and we wish you every success in your start as professional journeymen carpenters!
