Rose Bikes
Bike stores in five towns and cities
Walk in, ride out – This is the ideal scenario when customers are looking for the perfect bike at Rose Bikes. Having already enlisted the services of Hoffmann Interior to realise five independent Rose Bike stores and eight Rose sales areas in stores such as Globetrotter, the bicycle manufacturer also relied on the general contractor for the latest refurbishment in Cologne.
A special challenge with this project was to realise a temporary 100 m² pop-up store in the front area of the sales premises during the refurbishment of the rest of the store. This prevented a closure during the work and allowed the store and the workshop service to remain in operation. Since the reopening, a clean look with modern industrial details invites customers to browse and try out products over a floor area of 900 m². Simple colours such as black and grey contrast with the white marble floor. This was the only element taken over from the previous store and refurbished by Hoffmann Interior for the reopening. Steel elements and plasterboard wall panels with visible screws remind customers of the bike manufacturer's craft and the service that Rose offers for them and their bikes. A lounge area invites customers to relax or obtain more comprehensive advice.
Rose has relied on the high-quality and reliable work of Hoffmann Interior since 2005. For example, the general contractor has realised additional stores in Munich, Bocholt, Dodenhof and Posthausen. The Munich and Bocholt projects are listed here as additional references:
Hoffmann Interior faced several challenges in Munich: How is it possible to ideally present 200 bike models that are all individually customised in an area of “just” 300 m²? The solution: Thanks to the existing online configuration technology, a store was created with a showroom character that provided an extension into the online world through the digital signage technology.
In Bocholt – the headquarters of Rose Bikes – an area of 6,000 m² was available. The idea of a test track therefore emerged. Customers can be measured at individual stations. Subsequently, the 3D data is made available to them through their profile in the Rose Bikes webshop, so that they can use it for later purchases and virtual fittings at any time. An additional tech highlight in Bocholt: Customers configure their dream bike at multi-touch counters and the result is directly visualised on large LED screen walls. iPads used as information terminals, digital signposts and a Rose app round off the overall digital picture. Overall, the interior design of the Rose Biketown in Bocholt have given the store an airier feel and new colour tones, such as anthracite and green, have brought a wonderful freshness into play. Warm, natural ash wood creates a great contrast to the rough concrete look. The cafeteria area has also become larger and has moved up to the mezzanine level.
As the bike manufacturer can rely on the precise implementation of its wishes and the excellent consulting from Hoffmann Interior for all projects and wants to expand further, future projects will also be realised with the general contractor.
