Teegschwendner: “The boys know what they are doing!”

Teagschwendner Freiburg

The new shopping experience concept of the specialist tea retailer TeeGschwendner in Meckenheim focuses on natural materials and maximum flexibility in the store layout.

The company sought a partner for the implementation in the specialist stores who would also reliably manage all the trades in addition to providing the store furnishings. They rightly opted for Hoffmann Ladenbau GmbH & Co. KG, who fully covers the range of general contracting services - and includes “made in Germany” furniture. The specialist store in Freiburg was completely redesigned as one of the first locations.

Trusting cooperation

“It quickly became apparent that the boys knew what they were doing!” relates Jörg Stegmann, owner of the specialist store, talking about the cooperation with Hoffmann Ladenbau. From the demolition to the assembly: the assembly team completed all the necessary work in the period from 18 June to 2 July so that the specialist store in Freiburg could be handed over ready to use in time for the reopening. “I particularly liked the calm and quiet way in which the fitters worked,” he goes on to say and adds, “a competent partner was also on hand at all times during the construction process to provide help and advice.” Besides the assembly expertise on-site, the construction progress is also constantly monitored by the responsible project manager in-house at Hoffmann Ladenbau. A solution can therefore be found quickly in the case of unforeseeable incidents so that nothing stands in the way of the fixed end date.

The concept: flexible and welcoming

The large racks with innumerable drawers catch the eye as a focal point of the advisory zone when you enter the store. The advisory zone with around 250 loose leaf teas in stylish stainless steel tins allows for direct interaction between the specialist tea sales people and the customers thanks to the minimalist design and narrow counters. Particularly fine tea specialities are presented in Edmon’s furniture module that also includes a refrigerator element.

A perfect fit for a harmonious interior design

Flexible furniture modules were used for the wall design in the self-service zone. The modules were adapted to the local conditions in order to create a harmonious interior design. The historic fabric of the building held some surprises. When dismantling the previous ceiling, a projection became visible to which the furniture module below was optimally adapted.
